Splatterhouse 2 est un beat’em all sur Megadrive. Le joueur contrôle Rick qui est prêt à tout pour sauver sa copine Jennifer, même à mettre un masque maudit qui le transforme en tueur assoiffé de sang. En plus de ses poings et de ses pieds, Rick peut espérer se défendre en ramassant différentes armes (bombes, fusil à pompe, tronçonneuse…) au cours des huit niveaux que compte le jeu.
