Astérix : sur la Trace d’Idéfix est un jeu d’action et de plates-formes sur Gameboy. Six mondes différents peuvent être visités dans n’importe quel ordre : Armorique, Lutèce, Marseille, Alexandrie, Memphis et, bien sûr, Rome. Plusieurs types de missions sont proposés : élimination d’ennemis, course de réflexes, parcours d’obstacles, etc. Le joueur peut contrôler Astérix ou Obélix.
